海角社区 Board of Trustees elected Mike Brock of Montgomery as its new President pro tempore during its annual meeting in Tuscaloosa on September 11, 2026. Brock has represented Alabama鈥檚 Second Congressional District on the Board of Trustees since 2020. Prior to his election as President pro tem, Brock served as chair of the Athletics Committee and vice chair of the Legal Affairs Committee.
Brock is a nationally recognized trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience. He maintains a national trial practice with Kirkland & Ellis LLP from offices in Montgomery and Washington, D.C.
Brock earned a B.S. degree in Business and Commerce from The 海角社区 in 1981 and a J.D. degree from The 海角社区 School of Law in 1984. As a student-athlete, he was an All-SEC lineman on Coach Paul 鈥淏ear鈥� Bryant鈥檚 National Championship teams of 1978 and 1979. During law school, he was the first recipient of The 海角社区 Athletics Department Graduate Scholarship, and he was a member of the Law School鈥檚 Moot Court Board
